TransFURmations -Meet the team
TransFURmations began as a mobile service up until 2014 we now work out of the TransFURmations Salon on Broadway Avenue.
We have the Manawatu's only Certified Master Groomers' on Staff. Having also qualified and competed overseas with the New Zealand Groom team as the Hand Scissor Specialist . Erin Gundesen is the Senior Pet Stylist and Grooming Academy Tutor at TransFURmations. She has had a number of grooming competition wins and competes her Bichon in the Show ring who in his short Career has had Best In Show wins at both champ and Specialty shows. Erin also has 2 miniature Poodles a toy poodle, and a Border Collie to keep her busy.
Kylie is our Second Senior Stylist and Certified Master groomer , so we have some really talented team members on our staff. She has 2 Australian Shepherds who are amazing at obedience work and boy do they know some tricks. Kylie also has a Lakeland terrier who she has campaigned in the show ring, competing to Champion level. She also has been training Zoom in Agility and she has made a splash in this arean also. While kylie works full time as a groomer has 2 young children in her family, she is also an accomplished artist and does charcoal and colour portraits of our doggy clientele. Amber is our 3rd Senior Stylist and also a Certified Master Groomer. Amber has also qualified and has been selected as Reserve on the New Zealand Groom team, has competed overseas in grooming competitions and has won an online Grooming Competition with Master Groom UK !! Amber shows her Bichon Hope and has made her up to champion status. She also has a toy poodle Pearl to campaign in the show ring.
Jorden grooms in Pahiatua at Sika Grooming and comes here to help us out too a few days a week. We love working with other groomers in our region. Jorden has a Standard Poodle called Sika who she takes out in the bush and he helps with her hunting activities and tramping. Jorden has worked with us for a number of years now, we love having her company.
Seb is a new groomer, who has a really great affinity to working with fluffy breeds, he has the best skills brushing out and preparing show coats on Bichons. Seb has become very proficient in a very short time grooming all breeds and hand scissoring legs and putting shape into dogs. Seb will be our next master groomer for sure.
